internship excitement!
Yesterday, I received an email from human resources at a PR firm in Boston called Racepoint Group asking to set up an interview with me for a summer internship! I am beyond excited about this. As stressful as the process of applying for internships can be, hearing back from my first application in a positive way could not put me in a better place. Although I am entirely prepared to face rejection considering it’s a basic part of adult life with job searches, it definitely feels pretty great to get good feedback right off the bat. Currently, I’m seeking out internships in the Communications and Public Relations field, specifically those with focuses on social media. Quite frankly, this blog is probably a major reason why I am even being considered for these positions, and for that I could not be more thankful. Not to mention my position as an intern in the College’s Office of Communications! If you are just beginning your internship search, I strongly recommend you take a trip over to Becker. I had my resume reviewed and edited, as well as gained access to countless websites created specifically to help Union undergrads find an internship. It is a fantastic resource right at our fingertips as Dutchmen and women…not taking advantage of it would be a total waste!
Good luck, Maura!
